what are you bringing into the new year?

The new year is almost here—and I know you’re already thinking about what the new year will bring.

Maybe you're looking for that awesome vacation, the big brave business move, or hoping to get in better shape. Maybe you're wanting to be more connected and in touch with who you are and those around you.

Or maybe you’re wanting to be more present and enjoy the little things that you normally wouldn’t give a second thought.

It’s easy to think that when the clock strikes midnight and the new year arrives, change arrives on our doorstep like an Amazon package with Prime delivery.

But the best change—and the most meaningful moments—don’t happen overnight. That’s why when I read this quote, my first thought was “Oof!”

We get so focused on change, but we don't do enough to make it happen. Here's the truth: Nothing changes unless something changes. (Yes, read that again!)

It reminds me of that big 80s hit, “New Sensation.” There are different, new sensations in life–and ultimately you decide how you react and respond to them.

When you walk into 2023 feeling fearless, confident, and joyful, I think the year is going to go a lot better for you.

And, when something hard happens and you get knocked down, take a breath. Reset. And then get back up again.

Your Action Step: Instead of thinking about all that you hope the new year will bring you, what if you switched your mindset to something a little different. What if instead you asked yourself, “What am I bringing into the new year?”

Yes, it’s okay to hope and dream about what’s to come. But what are you doing to make sure this year is your best year yet?

Your best days are yet ahead, my friend. I’m cheering you on!

With gratitude,

Jamie 🧡
